Tammy keeps me on the healthy track and thanks to our partnership, I feel strong and more confident! Hiring Joe Pescatore as my trainer each week has been an investment in my own health and well-being. Like everything else...money talks! When I have a set paid appointment, I go. There is no room in my mind for excuses. Two, half-hour sessions is all I need to keep fit. I have more CORE STRENGTH than I ever thought possible! Joe INSPIRES and MOTIVATES me each week, when I cannot. He holds me TOTALLY ACCOUNTABLE and will not let me CHEAT, or make excuses. His Friday workouts are workouts you will NEVER FORGET, but the results are SO WORTH IT!!! The BEST GIFT you can ever give yourself....is having a personal trainer. Joe Pescatore is an excellent trainer. He listens to your objectives and goals, and helps you achieve them in a manner that is safe and challenging. Joe encourages you to work hard and pushes you to your individual limits. Joe is not that trainer that is yelling in your face, but he is right by your side working with you and demonstrating how to properly conquer the reps. Joe is knowledgeable about many different levels of physical training and fitness and he incorporates all aspects to create a different work out every day. It was easy looking forward to working out because I was learning something new every day.
I weighed 35 pounds more 3 years ago. I had been visiting Thorbecke's but had no plans or goals. I liked to sit on the stationery bikes and read but didn't care much for pedaling. I saw a personal trainer and asked to meet with her. Tammy has worked with me on nutrition and fitness. The downside of losing 35 pounds is all the baggy pant I had to get rid of. The upside is the energy and feeling of wellness. People speak to me with a look of concern and ask if I have some terrible disease. I look down and mutter, "I don't want to talk about it." Then I laugh with a twinkle in my eye and fess up that Tammy did it.
When I signed up to get a personal trainer, I assumed I would be getting someone who would help me lose weight. I had no idea that I would be given the gift of not only a trainer but a friend, a motivator, an encourager and someone who would literally help me change my life! When I have a session with Tammy I am always amazed at how much attention to detail she pays. She watches my every move and is quick to correct when I am doing something that might cause injury or would be ineffective. She goes over my food log with me and questions things that don’t appear correct, giving me constructive ideas about things I can do to improve the nutritional content of my meals. She listens to my concerns or fears and shows me that I am capable of more than I think I can do. Because of my age (60+) losing weight is very hard to do and maintain but with Tammy’s help, I have lost nearly 30 lbs and I have gained so much more! She is an inspiration.
My experience at Thorbeckes Gym has been completely positive. Through the assistance of Trainer Tammy Bower I have received a workout plan that is perfect for me. I had not been exercising and am in my 60's so I had some special needs and the work out I was given is safe for me to do and yet it also challenges me to grow stronger and I can simply increase the weights or repetitions to accommodate my own increasing strength. I highly recommend working with one of the personal trainers to be able to create a workout that becomes second nature to do and a powerful ally in remaining fit into the 60's, 70's and beyond.
Melissa Fox has been my yoga instructor for over 3 years and my personal trainer for 2 1/2 years. What I appreciate about Melissa is that she listens to the specifics of what I want to improve, and designs a regimen to help me meet and exceed those goals. She is continually adapting my program of exercises to make sure that I am challenged, making progress and feeling confident. With her, my goal has changed from working on basic functionality to strength training. Melissa is easy to talk to, listens closely, and asks questions to help clarify my goals. She is very positive, doesn't take herself too seriously and has a terrific sense of humor. She is a wonderful person to work with, and I would highly recommend her!
I just needed email because I wanted to let ur company know that I recently decided to improve my health and physical fitness. In doing so I decided to start working with a personal trainer. A lot of times when people are very good at there good it sometimes goes unnoticed. I know u guys don't need this email to know u have a great trainer on your hands, but Melissa has been amazing throughout the very early stages of us working together. My experience with personal training has been life changing.
