JUNIOR TENNIS CLASSES
Level 1
Movement & Stroke Fundamentals
Ages 7 - 9
This class is for young students who are new to the
game. Students will be introduced to the terminology and
rules of the sport, as well as the most basic stroke
techniques.
Level 2 - Advanced Beginner
Ages 10 - 14
This class is for students who have taken a few lessons
and have a basic understanding of the rules and basic
shots of tennis. Students will learn how to initiate and
sustain rallies while developing consistency and
improving placement.
Level 3 - Intermediate Players
Ages 10 - 14
This class is an expansion upon level 2, where technique
and control are developed through an increased focus on
playing situations.

4 - Junior Varsity Player
Ages 13 - 16
This class is for
middle school/early high school players who are
beginning to develop their skills and have the ultimate
goal of playing at the varsity level in high school. The
class emphasizes the development of technique, control
and movement.

5
Ages 14 - 18
This class is for experienced, high school varsity level
players who are intent on refining their techniques and
developing more aggressive tactics.
Skills and Drills
This class focuses on ways in which to
develop and refine specific shot mechanics ("skills")
and then puts these newly developed techniques into
practice via simulated game situations ("drills"). It
is recommended that you have had high school varsity
match experience.
ADULT TENNIS CLASSES

USTA Team Practices
Practice sessions are offered to our "homegrown"
USTA league teams. The structured practices will be
scheduled through the individual league captains.
Skills and Drills
This class focuses on ways in which to
develop and refine specific shot mechanics ("skills")
and then puts these newly developed techniques into
practice via simulated game situations ("drills").
It is recommended that you have had USTA match
experience.
Set Group of 8
Great for families or businesses! If you
have a group of folks from the office or several family
members or friends who would like to learn how to play
or have played in the past and need to get some rust
off, let us know! We can accommodate your schedule and
give you discounted rates for lessons if you come in as
a group.
CLASSES ON THE
HORIZON
Video Analysis Class
We'll set up a video camera to tape you
performing the specific shots you'd like to work on, and
then we'll put the video up on a TV screen so we can
help you identify what you need to fix right there on
the spot!
Stroke of the Week Class
We'll work on a specific shot each week,
and have a set schedule so you can come in for whichever
class you'd like. Great for beginner level tennis
players.
Cardio Tennis
This is a fast paced one hour group
fitness class. You do not have to be a tennis player to
join this class. Consider it to be a great cardio
workout while you've got a racquet in your hand! |
