Tae
KwonDo
. . . |
|
Tae KwonDo has been at Thorbecke’s since
1987 and in that time has developed a friendly family-oriented community of martial artists and students.
The
program is designed to help people of all ages and backgrounds
experience the benefits of training in the martial arts, chief
among these being improved fitness, flexibility, balance, and
confidence.
The curriculum is based on traditional
Tae KwonDo, a Korean martial
art featuring the
hard lines of Karate with a kicking style of its own. Our
instructors have a combined 40 years of experience learning
and teaching the martial arts, allowing
them to teach a broad
spectrum of skills including traditional empty hand forms,
free sparring, weapons defense and training, self-defence
grappling and submission wrestling. The
instructors have been proud to promote 20 students to the rank
of Black Belt.

Centralia Tae KwonDo ...
Our
system uses an intuitive system of self-defense which can
adapt to any situation. We emphasize the psychological
and the physical aspects of self-defense, giving students
practical defense techniques in which they can be confident.
For
our more advanced students, we offer
a Saturday
schedule - expanded to include a grappling class from 10
- 11:30 am. The
class includes beginning submission
wrestling, rolling, hard falls, and advanced self-defense
applications.
